SIL & SDA Vacancies Melbourne
Find your forever home with The Bridge. Our Independent Living Homes bring together Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) across Melbourne, giving people with disability more independence, choice and a better quality of life.
With NDIS funding, you can access supports and accommodation options that fit your goals, preferences and lifestyle.
Our homes are welcoming and comfortable, with a dedicated team who provide person-centred support. We help each resident build confidence, learn new skills and make meaningful connections in everyday life.
Our Melbourne Vacancies
The Bridge currently has Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and Supported Independent Living (SIL) vacancies across six welcoming homes in Melbourne’s northern and south-eastern suburbs, offering a supportive and community-oriented lifestyle.
Supported Independent Living (SIL)
Our SIL services provide support seven days a week in shared homes, with assistance tailored to each person’s interests, routines and goals.
SIL supports can include:
- Personalised Support: Help that fits your preferences, daily routines and goals, so the support you receive is meaningful and helpful.
- Skill Building: Support to learn everyday skills like cooking, shopping, cleaning, gardening and personal care – all to build confidence and independence.
- Community Participation: Encouragement and assistance to get involved in community activities, make social connections and feel a sense of belonging.
- Health and Wellbeing: Support with health-related tasks such as attending appointments, managing medication, organising transport and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
Alongside our Supported Independent Living services, The Bridge offers newly built, modern SDA homes for people who want a living space designed to suit their support requirements. Each home is safe, accessible and comfortable, helping residents live more independently while still receiving the right supports.
These SDA homes are suitable for participants with Improved Liveability or High Physical Support funding in their NDIS plans. They’re designed to improve quality of life and give residents the flexibility to receive support in a way that works best for them.
Our Process
The Bridge knows that having the right home is important for your independence and wellbeing. Our Independent Living Homes across Melbourne offer both shared and private options, close to local shops, services and community activities. There are also plenty of chances to meet people and build connections.
We take time to get to know you through a meet‑and‑greet and matching process. This helps us find the right home and housemates for you, creating a safe, inclusive and supportive place to live.
Step 1: Design Your Plan
Complete our online enquiry form and one of our friendly team members will be in touch to chat about your NDIS plan, funding, and how The Bridge can support you.
Step 2: Meet and Greet
Join us for a meet and greet at the home (if you’re planning to move into SDA). This is your opportunity to connect with the team, explore the space, and experience the environment to see if it feels like the right fit for you.
Step 3: Begin Your Journey
Once you feel confident in your decision, we’ll work alongside you to develop a personalised support plan, helping you take the next step toward greater independence and a fulfilling life at The Bridge.
