Leisure and Recreation

Our Getaways program provides recreational and leisure activities, as well as trips away and supported holidays in Victoria and interstate.

What is Getaways?

Our Getaways leisure and recreational program creates opportunities for people to enjoy activities, discover new places and connect with others. Whether it is a social night close to home or a supported holiday, participants can join safe, inclusive activities that build confidence, skills and independence.

Our Recreational Activities

Regular Social Nights

Relax and connect with others at our social nights. Typical evenings include music, dancing, cooking, arts and crafts, movies, board games, and casual sports. These events are friendly, structured, and supported so everyone can join in at their own pace.

Day and Evening Activities

Join us for local adventures in the city and across Victoria. Each month we plan a mix of outings such as visiting markets and festivals, sporting events, nature walks, gallery or museum visits, swimming, lunches and movies. One-to-one support can be arranged within group settings where required, so participants feel confident and included.

Monthly Discos

Our discos are a favourite. They are a chance to celebrate, dance and enjoy themed nights with friends. The vibe is inclusive and upbeat with simple routines, easy check in and plenty of encouragement from our team.

Weekends Away

Short breaks are a great way to try supported travel or supported holidays. We visit popular holiday parks and retreats where accommodation is comfortable and accessible. Packages include accommodation and meals so participants can focus on enjoying the weekend, building routines, and trying new activities.

Interstate Supported Holidays

For those who want to explore further, our supported interstate holidays head to well-loved destinations such as Sydney, Darwin, Adelaide, Cairns, the Gold Coast, Byron Bay, and Tasmania. We handle planning and logistics including transport, accommodation, and daily schedules. Holidays are designed to balance sightseeing, rest and social time, so everyone returns with great memories and new skills.

Funding and Fees

Recreation activities can be funded through the NDIS where suitable line items apply. If you do not have NDIS funding, you can still take part through our ‘Fee for Service’ option by paying for the activities you would like to join.
