You can help us help others

We offer a range of volunteering opportunities across our community and employment services. Whether you’re supporting social activities, recreation programs or employment pathways, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference while developing new skills, building connections and being part of a supportive team.

Peter’s story

Peter volunteers at Works and loves being able to give back to the community. With a background in mechanical engineering he says “I’ve got that time since I’ve retired to put that time into giving a little back”.

Give back to the community and connect with others

Give back to the community while building new friendships and connections. Enjoy social time with our staff and participants, joining activities on site and in the community.

Share your skills and learn something new

Whether it’s technology, art, music, woodwork, gardening, language or culture, volunteers can share their skills while learning new ones.

Make a difference supporting others

Being part of someone’s journey and supporting participants is a rewarding experience. Volunteers make a real difference in the lives of people living with disability.

How the process works

We will provide induction training, ongoing mentoring, and support you every step of the way as you begin what can be an incredible and exciting new experience.

Step 2: Interview and pre-screen

We will reach out via email or phone to connect with you. If it sounds like a good fit, we will invite you to an informal style interview to get to know you better. After a successful interview and confirming specific activities and location, we will move to the next stage.

Step 3: Onboarding

We’ll confirm dates, complete an NDIS check, share our code of conduct, and provide information to help you get the best out of your volunteering.

Step 4: Start making an impact

We will send you all the details for your first day and who will be supporting you while Volunteering. Meet our participants and team and start making a difference!
