The Bridge has a wide variety of services for participants to access. Services are delivered across both The Bridge Connects community services and The Bridge Employment services.
When participants join The Bridge they can access a range of services at the same time that are individualised to help them achieve their goals.
The Bridge Connects
The Bridge Connects provides a full range of community services. Supports can be provided on and individual (1:1) basis, or in group-based settings. Supports are delivered based on the interests and identified NDIS goals of participants.
The Bridge Employment provides employment assistance to young people experiencing disadvantage and people with disability in both the open labour market and within supported employment settings. The Bridge Employment Activities include:
Tomorrow is International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) which this year is focussing on helping others to #lookbeyond and challenge their attitudes & assumptions about disability. At The Bridge, our vision is to have a connected society where people of all abilities achieve their full ...potential. It’s something we are passionate about and strive for every day.
To mark this important day and its message, The Bridge held BBQ lunches at one of their Connects community sites (Webb Street Day Service) and their Employment sites (The Bridge Works factory) for all participants and employees to attend.
Everyone was encouraged to take some time out to have some lunch and for participants and employees to mingle, share stories, and enjoy the sunshine. Much fun was had, and it was a great way for the whole company to get together and celebrate this important day.
“This is a gift! At The Bridge everyone is seen as an individual with a set of gifts and things to offer. And our job is to help them find that and then to pursue that.” - This year’s International Day of People with Disability theme is #LookBeyond , something that we do every day at The ...Bridge to celebrate all our participants’ individuality. You can see that in this wonderful story of our Volunteer Coordinator Gabriel, whose personal experience of having a daughter with autism makes her that much more passionate about her job supporting people with disabilities. We love having you in the team Gabriel!

The Bridge Inc and Soap Aid is happy to announce a new partnership!

We had a very special tea at Head Office today to recognise and celebrate the service of two of our staff members. Jarrod Reaper (Connects Getaways Coordinator) and Helen Shone (Senior Finance Officer) have been working at The Bridge for 20 years and ...15 years – wow!
Pictured with CEO, Mary-Jane Stolp, both Jarrod and Helen were awarded certificates & hampers and celebrated with cake whilst reflecting on their career journeys at The Bridge. So why have they worked at The Bridge for so long? Both said their years of service were down to a great team culture, the ability to progress their careers and rewarding work which helps others every day.
