Day Programs
Structured community-based programs designed to provide engaging, goal‑focused activities that support learning, life skills development, and social connection.
What are Day Programs?
Day programs encompass a variety of structured activities on site and out in the community designed to support adults with disabilities in their daily lives to learn new skills, build independence, and promote social participation. The aim of our disability day programs is to empower people with disability to live fulfilling and meaningful lives by offering opportunities for personal growth through socialising and community access.
What’s Included in Our Day Programs?
Each of our sites offer a timetable of engaging activities, with some popular activities running consistently and others changing throughout the year to provide choice for our participants to have new experiences or work on new skills.
Programs are designed to support wellbeing, life skill development and social connection, with a mix of site-based experiences, community outings, and group activities.
Activities Based Around your Goals
There are lots of fun ways to achieve individual goals, including:
Life Skills Development: These focus on developing practical life skills, such as managing money, cooking, reading and writing, all aimed to increase independence, confidence and ability to navigate daily tasks.
Recreational Activities: Opportunities to connect and have fun through arts and crafts, sports, gardening, music and dance, supporting creativity, social connection and overall wellbeing.
Training and Support: Day Programs can also be linked in with vocational training programs, volunteering and work experience through our Job Skills Building program to help individuals find and keep a job.
Stories from our community
Rachel’s leadership was at the heart of the project. She made key creative decisions, provided direction, and wasn’t afraid to try new things along the way.

Our community services are for people with disability who want support to live more independently, build skills, stay connected, and enjoy life in their community. We tailor supports around what matters most to you, your goals, interests, and pace.
Most of our services are funded through the NDIS. If you are unsure whether your plan covers a service, our team can help you understand your funding or connect you with Support Coordination to explore your options.
That’s okay. Many NDIS plans are flexible. If your goals align with building independence, community participation, or wellbeing, you may still be able to use your funding. Our team or a Support Coordinator can help you understand your plan.
Yes. Everything we do is person-centered. We work with you to understand your goals, whether that is building daily living skills, making friends, staying active, travelling, or living more independently and tailoring those supports around what works best for you.
Yes. Families and carers are welcome to be involved in planning, goal setting, and communication as much or as little as the participant chooses. We value collaborative support.
Absolutely! Many people use a mix of services. For example, Day Programs alongside In Home and Community Support, or Support Coordination while living in one of our Independent Living Homes.
We focus on supporting and advocating for those we provide services for. We are all about choice, and genuine connections. Our services are shaped around you and we’re not a one-size-fits-all model. We prioritise respect, consistency, and meaningful outcomes that support independence and belonging.
Getting started is easy, simply contact our team at enquiries@thebridgeinc.org.au or fill out our intake form and our friendly team will guide you through your options and next steps.
