The exhibition featured a diverse range of artwork, each piece telling its own unique story. From bold and vibrant creations to more reflective works, the showcase highlighted not only artistic skill but also the individuality and expression of each artist. Several pieces were also available for purchase, giving attendees the opportunity to take home something truly special.

The evening was filled with a strong sense of connection and community. We were honoured to welcome members from Banyule City Council, along with special guest speaker Steph Neo, Art Curator at the council. Steph spoke about the transformative power of art, highlighting its unique ability to bring people together, foster inclusion, and support wellbeing.

Following the success of the event, selected artworks were given an extended audience, featured in a second exhibition at Ivanhoe Library and Cultural Hub. This continuation allowed even more members of the community to experience and celebrate the creativity of our participants, while reinforcing the positive impact that artistic expression can have on health and wellbeing.

Illuminate was more than just an art show it was a celebration of creativity, confidence, and community spirit. Events like this remind us of the important role the arts play in creating inclusive spaces where everyone can shine.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to Banyule City Council and Ivanhoe Library and Cultural Hub for their support, and a huge congratulations to our talented artists for delivering such a fantastic and memorable exhibition.

We can’t wait to see what they create next.
