The Bridge Works is saving lives by partnering with Soap Aid, a not-for-profit charity and social enterprise.
The Bridge Works is saving lives by partnering with Soap Aid, a not-for-profit charity and social enterprise. Soap Aid works with accommodation partners in Australia and New Zealand to divert their used guest soap from landfills so that Soap Aid can recycle the soap into brand new bars for distribution to disadvantaged communities in Australia and overseas. The aim is to reduce hygiene related diseases and deaths through handwashing with soap and hygiene education.
The Bridge Works operates Soap Aid’s recycling plant and is involved in the soap recycling process. The partnership produces over 7,000 bars of recycled soap per week to provide essential hygiene to communities in need.
“Our partnership with The Bridge will enable Soap Aid to expand our positive impact on the community of Victoria by offering employment opportunities to people with disability and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds while saving and improving the lives of vulnerable children and adults around the globe.”
Carol Bellew from Soap Aid
