Celebrating 50 years

The archives at The Bridge are full of stories of people. There are boxes of photographs of participants, of families, of volunteers and staff being part of the programs through the decades. There are stories of fundraising, from raffles and walkathons, to fashion shows and bike rides. We see records of committee members and employees making it happen behind the scenes.

In our 50th year, it is still people that keep The Bridge going. In those early days, it was a group of parents and community leaders determined to create opportunities for local children. Through the decades we have seen committed staff and families develop innovative programs, create new spaces, and find ways to meet the need. In 2020, the people of The Bridge have banded together to continue to offer a wide range of community and employment services, as we all deal with the unprecedented challenges of Covid-19.
