This marks an important moment for our organisation as we continue strengthening our commitment to empowering lives and inspiring futures by providing holistic support to people with disabilities.

Over the past several months, Richard has brought caring and thoughtful leadership to the Acting CEO role. He has spent meaningful time across our services, meeting teams, listening to participants and families, and developing a clear understanding of the opportunities across our organisation. His approach has remained grounded in what matters most to The Bridge Inc: delivering person‑centred, high‑quality support and ensuring every decision reflects the needs of the people and communities we serve.

Since joining The Bridge, Richard has helped strengthen our foundations while keeping a strong focus on the heart of our organisation – our participants and our staff. His commitment to delivering on our vision of a connected society where people of all abilities achieve their full potential is clear, and his leadership is guided by our values of Integrity, Connectedness, Individuality and Courage.

Looking ahead, Richard brings a clear and reliable direction for the future. His leadership will support the continued growth of our services, stronger community partnerships, and a responsive approach to the diverse needs of participants and families across our footprint.

For participants, families, partners and supporters, this appointment represents continuity and confidence. Our work will continue with the same dedication and care, supported by a leader who understands our organisation deeply and is committed to guiding it forward with integrity and purpose.

We look forward to the next chapter under Richard’s leadership and thank our community for their ongoing trust and support.

Your Job Now is a practical, hands-on program. It helps people build confidence and develop real-world job skills. Most importantly, it prepares participants for meaningful employment close to home.

Through supportive learning and personalised guidance, we help each person grow. In addition, we create a welcoming, community-based environment where participants feel safe to try new things. As a result, they build independence at their own pace.

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we tailor the job skills building program to individual goals. Clients explore their strengths and identify areas for growth. They practise transferable workplace skills in real situations. Over time, they gain confidence and resilience.

Importantly, YJN is more than a training course. It is a pathway to empowerment. We encourage clients to challenge themselves and celebrate progress. Consequently, they begin to see what they are capable of achieving.

To mark the launch, clients led a ribbon-cutting ceremony. They also hosted a morning tea for guests. Their enthusiasm and hospitality set the tone for the day. Furthermore, the celebration highlighted the strong community spirit behind the program.

We feel excited to grow our services in Greensborough. At the same time, we remain focused on walking alongside each client. Step by step, we support them as they move toward employment and greater independence.

If you or someone you support feels ready to take the next step, we encourage you to get in touch. Together, we can build confidence and create pathways to meaningful work.
